Locally owned not a chain BBQ place, the service was great and the food was amazing, the ribs were soft and tasty, the smoke is not over powering and it doesn't take away from the meat flawor, the in-house BBQ sauce is like no other, we mixed the mustard and the sweet sause and it was incredible, we will definitely come back here when in Gainsville.

First visit. Not a fan. Had breakfast. Bacon ordered well done, was far from done and floating in grease. The eggs, how can eggs float in grease? And they were over cooked on the edges with runny white. Order over medium. Ordered my toast dry and I received 2 pieces of bread- untoasted. They didn't know what "dry" meant, could of asked though. Fair enough- they don't butter any toast...but untoasted is dry to the cook? Ok. Crew did not have their act together at all for a Sunday morning. Food didn't look appetizing and wasn't. Think we'll call this visit one time and done.

The BBQ and the service are the key points. The dining room is where it happens. There are many BBQ places in Gainesville, but Davids offers meals priced everyone. Their specials represent huge value.

We used David's to cater and provide decor for our wedding in October 2024 and we could not have asked for a better experience. Bobby was fantastic to work with and he worked tirelessly to accommodate any food or decor needs we had. Nothing at our wedding got more compliments than the food. Our guests commented that it was the best prime rib they had ever had at a wedding, and all of our appetizers were a huge hit. As far as set up and clean up went, Bobby and his team were very efficient. It was such a relief not having to worry about things like setting up decor. Bobby is very thorough and made sure he knew exactly what we wanted during our wedding workshop. From that point on, he just worked his magic and everything turned out just how we imagined! Throughout the whole process he was very accessible and was always quick to answer any of our emails. We could not recommend them enough!

The OG BBQ joint in G'ville! Awesome BBQ and just-as-good breakfast (a pre-tailgate must). I can't count the times I ate here in ~30 years living in G'ville, and I go (at least once) every time I return. Every. Single. Time.
